Meet the Chef
Steph the Grilling Gourmet was founded in February 2008. Steph was formally trained at George Brown College and graduated from The Culinary Management Program in 1986. While in Toronto he worked at a variety of restaurants but discovered that his true love was the art of grilling and smoking food. While catering to large and small groups he shares his knowledge of the grill and demonstrates techniques that allow you to enjoy the full flavour of the food. Whether it is an intimate group or a corporate function with hundreds of people, Steph enjoys sharing his knowledge and of course his finished product. While showing these techniques he uses his own line of dry rubs so that people can enjoy the food again and again. These rubs are all natural with low sodium content and are available commercially. Steph has travelled across Canada and the U.S.A. doing demonstration work that was touched by flame, fire and smoke bringing higher understanding of the world of grilled and smoked foods. His mission is to educate and demonstrate the art of smoking and grilling a variety of foods. By using fresh ingredients and the best foods available we aim to produce the most delicious and sometimes unique taste experience. The dry rubs or spice blends are easy to use and compliment your barbequed food by providing a full but not overpowering flavour.
